Day 1 : Bangkok – Khao Yai
In the morning pick up from inner Bangkok Hotel or Airport at 9.30 am.
- And after check in at Khao yai Nature Life Resort, start half day tour (3.30 – 4.00 pm.) visit a Buddhist cave temple use by Buddhist monks for meditation, later go to a very beautiful spot where you have a magnificent view over the area, then go to the bat cave to see millions of wrinkle lipped bats flying of forming a snake like stream in the sky.Around 7.00 pm we will return to resort.
- Overnight at Khao Yai Nature Life Resort.
Day 2 : Khao Yai Jungle Tour
Wake up at 7.00 am, start at 8.00 am drive to the National Park.
- First we will visit the park Head Quarter and later our driver will take us to the beginning of the trail.
- Here we will go hiking through dry evergreen forest where Gibbons, Monkeys, Hornbills often seen.
- Then we will drive up to the Haew Suwat waterfall , famous from the movie “ The Beach”
- Lunch: Enjoy a delicious Thai meal at a local restaurant.
- In the afternoon we will drive up to the second highest mountain of the park to go and relax on a superb viewpoint.
- We will go for check wild elephants that might come to the salt licks, we return around 7.30 pm.
- Overnight at Khao Yai Nature Life Resort.
Day 3 : Isaan region, Phimai Historical Park
- Breakfast at Hotel ,
- 8.30 starts full-day excursion brings you to the Isaan region.
- First stop is a silk weaving village, where we will be shown the complete process of silk production, from washing and drying to weaving and marketing.
- On the way to Phimai, we visit first a small Khmer temple.
- It dates from the end of the 9th century and is unique in the fact that it has retained its complete domed roof and contains several old Buddha figures.
- Another short diversion will be made at the archaeological site at Ban Prasat, to see human skeletons about 2,500 years old and various kinds of artifacts found 25 years ago.
- After a meal, the journey continues to the historic Khmer sanctuary of Phimai, often called the “Angkor Wat of Thailand”.
- The temple is about 959 years old and acknowledged and respected for its fine architecture. Many ornaments and relics represent scenes from the Ramayana, while others depict fighting and battlefield action as well as the victories of the Khmer kings. The nice museum is also worth a visit. On the way back to resort you will see a Banyan Tree about 300 years old: the interwoven branches extend densely over an area of about 15,000 square feet.
Day 4 : Khao Yai – Sikew – Bangkok
- Breakfast at hotel.
- 9.00 am go to local market (Pak Chong) to see life style local people, Explore a sandstone labyrinth with rock-paintings about 2000 years old.
- On the bizarrely formed rocks grow fig trees whose roots clutch the rocks with hundreds of lianas hanging down from the top.
- Here time passes us by.
- We hear only the birds singing and the squirrels chattering and our own voices.
- One of my favorite places, visit a big and nice Buddhist temple and place of pilgrimage.
- High on the mountain sits a 28 meter high Buddha figure.
- In the temple grounds there are also Chinese statues and some rare plants.
- Lunch at resort, late afternoon transfer back to Bangkok.
